April 30 // Work together.

Read Joshua 10:1 out loud with your family.

Ask the following question and discuss the answer together as a family.

Q: Have you ever had an argument with someone and then made up?

Parent Note: Israel and Gibeon didn’t always get along. When other cities heard that they had made a peace treaty, they became afraid because they knew that they would be harder to defeat. Like Gibeon and Israel, we are more powerful and effective when we can look past our differences and work together.

Read the following prayer out loud. Have your kids repeat after you:

Dear Lord thank You for being a God of peace.
I know that You want all of Your children to get along.
Help me to choose to live in peace with others.
We ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
