March 6 // God protected Moses.

Read Exodus 2:3 out loud with your family.

Ask the following question and discuss the answer together as a family.

Q: Have you ever seen a basketball player throw a last second shot from the other side of the court and make it? Why do you think they do that?

Parent Note: This usually is a last ditch effort to put some points on the board. The player figures, “If this works, awesome. If it doesn’t work, at least I gave it a shot.” This is what Moses’ mother figured when she put her baby in a basket and let him float down the Nile River. If the baby lived, awesome. If the baby died, well, at least she gave it a try. What a sad and horrible choice to have to make!

Read the following prayer out loud. Have your kids repeat after you:

Dear God, thank You for protecting Moses.
I know that You protect me too.
Help me to trust Your plan for me.
In Jesus’s name, amen.
