Read Ephesians 6:19-20 out loud with your family.
Ask the following question and discuss the answer together as a family.
Q: What is something that makes you feel afraid?
Parent Note: This question doesn't have to be too deep. It may be best for you to start off this discussion by naming something small that scares you—something like the dark, bugs, or being home alone. The conversation should focus not so much on the fear or why your child is afraid of these things, but on how God is always with them.
Read the following prayer out loud. Have your kids repeat after you:
Dear God, thank You for being with me.
I know that You are bigger than all of my fears.
Help me to trust You when I am worried or afraid.
In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
