November 19 // We wear armor.

Read Ephesians 6:11 out loud with your family.

Ask the following question and discuss the answer together as a family.

Q: In your daily life, what do you wear that is kind of like armor?

Parent Note: This question is to get kids to realize that the concept of the armor of God isn't all that strange. They likely wear helmets when riding their bikes, jackets to keep them warm in the winter, and sunscreen to protect them from getting sunburns. Just like we protect our physical body, we need spiritual protection too.

Read the following prayer out loud. Have your kids repeat after you:

Dear God, thank you for being my protector.
I know that I need protection for both my body and my spirit.
Please give me strength to stand against sin.
In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
