January 18 // God always knows.

Read Genesis 3:8 out loud with your family.

Ask the following question and discuss the answer together as a family.

Q: If you cover your eyes, does that make you invisible?

Parent Note: No, just because we can’t see anyone else doesn’t mean that we can no longer be seen by others in the same area as we are. It was a ridiculous idea that Adam and Eve thought they could hide from God. When He asks them where they are, it wasn’t because He didn’t know where they were, it was because He wanted them to explain why they were trying to hide from Him. We cannot hide from God—He is with us always.

Read the following prayer out loud. Have your kids repeat after you:

Dear Lord, thank You for showing me mercy.
I know that You see everything, and You still love me.
Help me confess my sin and repent.
We ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
